The jury was told that via electronic messages, SMS messages and calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, transmitted early photographs to her phone in a bid to demonstrate a resemblance to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an investigator with the police force who gathered the evidence, informed the court there "showed no any answers" from Mrs McCann.

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I will persist and I will prove my position."
