'Living a Nightmare': Relatives of Unaccounted For Teens Desperately Seek Answers After Ski Resort Blaze

The loved ones of teens missing after a tragic fire at a venue in a Switzerland's ski resort are confronting an excruciating period of uncertainty for answers and appealing for information about their children via social media.

The inferno ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of January 1st. Confirmed images show the roof structure catching alight as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Emergency services have stated that it could take an extended period to formally name the fatalities of the disaster, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and hurt another scores more. Authorities stated on Friday that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with the process still underway to name the other six.

In the interim, loved ones have been posting on online platforms to appeal for clues about their friends who were present at the venue that evening.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are currently unknown, according to an heartfelt request from his family.

The resident of a town near Lausanne, informed a local newspaper that she had gone back to Lausanne to see if he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the equivalent search in the capital, but could not find him.

"This is a living nightmare, an ordeal. Either I find my son in the morgue, or I find him in critical condition. It's terrible," she said.

She explained that some of his friends had been discovered with burns covering nearly half their bodies. "There are no words; they endured a terrifying ordeal."

The Italian foreign ministry has said that a number of of its young people are still unaccounted for.

Teenage sportsman Emanuele Galeppini, sixteen, was last heard from around the turn of the new year on December 31st, his father said.

Among them is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage junior golfer, who hailed from Genoa but now living in the UAE.

The national sporting body has stated that he is dead, without directly referencing the fire, honoring a "talented young man who embodied passion and true sportsmanship."

His father, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An representative has stated that a formal confirmation of his death is not yet.

Further Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise unaccounted for. His mother told reporters that he had been on vacation but had gone out with friends and ended up at the venue.

"Someone with him informed me they fled after the fire erupted and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he they were separated," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his teachers said, "I remember his kindness and smile, alongside great responsibility. Often offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives full-time in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to sources.

Her sibling has published an urgent request on social media, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.

Officials from her other nation say they are actively engaged with the situation.
