Eulogies Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt able to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has passed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the movie, commenting that he doesn't recollect "a single day without mirth".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a different essay, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to prevent the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A court order placed a restriction on the files to limit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a public database noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

After the tragedy, public personalities shared varying reactions.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering controversial remarks that were widely condemned by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the statements as "disappointing" and implied they showed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by remarking that an adviser should have acted when the choice to comment on the passing was made.
